What is a load bank test and why is it important?
In order to test the generator to its full capacity it must be tested under load. In most cases, this can not be done by shutting off the service power. A load bank test is used to verify the integrity of the generator set and to burn out any internal engine residue that could affect engine operation caused by running the generator under light loads. Load bank testing can be accomplished without an interruption to your facility power.
