Is there any other equipment that I would need to keep power during a brief power ‘flicker’?

A stationary/portable generator, connected to an automatic transfer switch can start and transfer in as little as 5-10 seconds. (A portable will take longer if manually activated) A UPS may be incorporated to keep constant power to your vital equipment for a short period of time until the emergency generator comes on line.
