What type of maintenance should be performed on a stationary generator?

Like any piece of mechanical equipment it will need servicing. Throughout the year, the generator should be inspected to ensure you will have power when needed. Items that need to be changed are engine oil, fuel filters, and filters. Other items that should be inspected are wiring, controls, etc.

It’s a good idea to have a generator serviced a minimum of 2 times per year by an experienced technician and more than twice per year if the application is critical.
