What size transfer switch do I need?
A transfer switch is rated in amperes, among other variables. Its rating must be greater than or equal to ampere rating of the circuit in which it is installed. A service rated transfer switch must be rated for the full load of the incoming service power. Please check with your electrician for local requirements as they can change based upon the local utility grid.
